Prior to the evaluation, we will schedule a brief phone call to clarify goals and ensure goodness of fit. A background questionnaire will also be sent for completion.
On the day of the evaluation, please arrive at Dr. GG’s office at your scheduled time. We recommend a good night’s sleep, eating breakfast, taking all prescribed medications, and bringing any necessary assistive devices (e.g., glasses/contacts, hearing aids, AFOs, wheelchair, etc.).
Upon arrival, we will briefly check in and then proceed directly to the assessment.
During the evaluation, the patient will complete a variety of activities including paper-and-pencil tasks, iPad-based tasks, and puzzle-type games. Dr. GG fosters a warm, fun, and engaging environment. Breaks, snacks, and restroom use are always welcome.
At the end of the assessment, preliminary feedback will be provided.
A follow-up feedback session—via telehealth or in person—will be scheduled approximately one week later. The final report is typically available within a few days after the feedback appointment.
Dr. GG will remain an ongoing member of your healthcare team and is happy to assist with letters, meetings, and collaboration with schools and other healthcare providers.
